About Me

I’m a senior at Brown County High School. I live in a township called Pea Ridge outside of Brown County. My dad owns Les Welty Roofing and Construction, and my grandpa owns Welty Trucking and Spreading. In October of 2023 I will be headed to Wyotech in Laramie, Wyoming. I will be pursuing my dream by becoming a diesel tech. While I’m there I plan to also take a few extra classes including but not limited to: collision and refinishing, chassis fabrication, and applied service management. I have been around heavy machinery and trucks my whole life, so I have always wanted to make a career with them. I also plan to take over my grandpas’ business and start my own shop. My goal in this program is to learn better communication skills and anything else I can that will help me when I’m out on my own.
